Jörgen Ekberg

Managing Partner

Jörgen Ekberg has been a Partner at Litorina since 2000. Before joining Litorina, he was the President of ASG, a company quoted on the A-list of the Stockholm Stock Exchange. Jörgen became a member of ASG's management in 1994. Initially, he was responsible for business development with a focus on corporate acquisitions and restructuring programs. He was appointed President in 1997. In both positions, Jörgen was in charge of numerous acquisitions and divestments of businesses in Europe, USA and Asia. After ASG was acquired by what is now DHL, Jörgen was a member of the group management team during one year.

Jörgen also spent nine years working for McKinsey & Co in Stockholm and Hong Kong, specialising in multinational business, manufacturing, and transport/logistics. His clients were mainly large Nordic and multinational companies.

Jörgen holds an MSc in Economics and Business Administration from the Stockholm School of Economics.

Previous experience includes board assignments in Sveba-Dahlén, LGT and Pelly.

Paul Steene

Partner

Paul Steene joined Litorina in 1999. Paul previously worked with acquisitions and strategic alliances at ABB EIS in Silicon Valley, USA. Paul joined ABB through their Executive Trainee Programme.

Paul holds an MSc in Mechanical Engineering from Lund Institute of Technology and has studied business and economics corresponding to a BSc in Business Management at Lund University.

Previous experience includes board assignments in Coromatic, Textilia and Pax.

Lars Verneholt

Partner

Lars Verneholt joined Litorina as a Partner in 2008 after twelve years in the financial advisory industry, where he primarily worked with M&A and corporate finance. During these twelve years, Lars held various positions at Catella, Carnegie Investment Banking, Merrill Lynch and Handelsbanken. He gained extensive transactional experience from both public and private transactions in the Nordic region as well as numerous private equity-related transactions.

Lars' previous position was at Catella, where he was responsible for Catella Consumer, an advisory business focusing on the retail and consumer goods sectors in the Nordic countries. Before joining Catella, Lars was a senior banker at Carnegie Investment Banking, and prior to that he spent four years at Merrill Lynch. Lars also worked for two years as an analyst at Handelsbanken in Stockholm and London and one year as the CFO for Nordic Circle, a consultancy firm formerly owned by Brummer & Partners and Ledstiernan.

Lars holds an MSc in Economics and Business Administration from the Stockholm School of Economics and an MBA from University of Chicago.

Previous experience includes board assignments in Semantix, Grolls and Cederroth.

Ann Dahlman

Partner

Ann Dahlman joined Litorina in 2003. Ann previously worked in London as a consultant at the US strategy consultancy firm Monitor Group. She focused on the development of market, product and growth strategies as well as commercial and financial due diligence. Ann has experience from a broad range of industries and international experience gained from working in London, Amsterdam, Milano and Johannesburg.

Ann holds an MSc in Industrial Engineering and Management from Linköping Institute of Technology and has also studied at the MBA programme at the University of Massachusetts.

Previous experience includes board assignments in Sveba-Dahlén, Q-Matic and Ateljé Margaretha.

Gustav Thott

Director

Gustav Thott joined Litorina in 2006 from HQ Bank, where he worked as a junior project manager within the investment banking division, focusing on mid-cap corporate acquisitions, mergers, and divestments. He has experience from a number of different industries as well as private and public transactions.

Gustav holds an MSc in Economics and Business Administration from the Stockholm School of Economics and has participated in the MBA programme at Duke University in the USA.

Previous experience includes board assignments in Semantix and Pahlén.

Magnus Ressel

Director

Magnus Ressel joined Litorina in 2008. He previously worked in the corporate finance advisory team of UBS Investment Bank in London. He was primarily involved in acquisitions, divestments and initial public offerings. Magnus' transactional experience includes public and private transactions in the Nordic market.

Magnus holds an MSc in Economics and Business Administration from the Stockholm School of Economics.

Previous experience includes board assignments in Eton, Ocay and Pax.

Mattias Letmark

Investment Manager

Mattias Letmark joined Litorina in 2010. Prior to Litorina, he worked within the Investment Banking Division of J.P. Morgan in London, focusing on industrial companies in Europe and Middle East. Mattias' experience includes advisory on several transactions, public and private mergers and acquisitions, divestments, IPOs and capital raisings.

Mattias holds an MSc in Economics and Business Administration from the Stockholm School of Economics and an MSc in Engineering Physics from the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm. He has also studied at the Technische Universität Berlin and the University of Florida.

Previous experience includes board assignments in Sveba-Dahlén, Grolls, Cederroth and Fiskarhedenvillan (deputy).

Kristian Holmström

Investment Manager

Kristian Holmström joined Litorina in 2011. Prior to that, he worked with corporate finance at Handelsbanken Capital Markets in Stockholm and Copenhagen. Kristian has advisory experience from transactions in a broad range of industries in the Nordic market, including public and private acquisitions, IPOs, divestments, mergers, and capital raisings.

Kristian holds an MSc in Industrial Engineering and Management from the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm.

Previous experience includes board assignments in Textilia, Eton (deputy) and Leo's Lekland (deputy).

Senior Associate

Andreas Nyberg joined Litorina from Citigroup in 2014 where he worked in the Investment Banking Division based in Stockholm. Prior to that, Andreas worked at KPMG Transaction & Restructuring in Stockholm. Andreas has advisory experience from transactions in a broad range of industries in the Nordic market, including public and private acquisitions, IPOs, divestments, mergers, and capital raisings.

Andreas holds an MSc in Industrial Engineering and Management from the Institute of Technology at Linköping University and he has also studied at the National University of Singapore.

Current experience includes deputy board assignments in Digpro and XL Bygg Fresks.

Senior Associate

Björn Källén joined Litorina in 2015. Prior to joining the fund, he worked within the Investment Banking Division of Morgan Stanley in London, focusing on the industrial and business services sectors. He has also previously worked with bond origination within the Debt Capital Market division of Danske Bank, based in Copenhagen and Stockholm. Björn has advisory and transaction experience from acquisitions, IPOs, divestments and capital raisings.

Björn holds an MSc in Applied Economics and Finance from Copenhagen Business School, including studies at Kenan-Flagler Business School of University of North Carolina and the Chinese University of Hong Kong.

Current experience includes deputy board assignments in Kungsängen, Fractal Design and mySafety.

Axel Lindsten joined Litorina in 2015. Prior to that, he worked with corporate finance at Handelsbanken Capital Markets in Stockholm. Axel holds an MSc in Industrial Engineering and Management from the Institute of Technology at Linköping University and he has also studied at Technische Universität München.

Hampus Frisén joined Litorina in 2018 from Rothschild where he worked in the Investment Banking Division, based in Stockholm. He has also previously worked at SEB Enskilda’s Corporate Finance Division in Stockholm. Hampus has experience from advising on Nordic transactions in various industries, including public and private acquisitions and disposals, IPOs and capital raisings.

Hampus holds an MSc in Finance from the Stockholm School of Economics and has also studied at Fudan University in Shanghai.

Karin Cakste

CFO

Karin joined Litorina as CFO in 2014. Prior to joining Litorina, Karin worked as a CFO at 11 Invest, a Swedish fund that invests in Russia. Karin’s previous experience also includes working as a CFO, accounting manager and controller for private equity-owned companies. In addition, Karin has worked nine years at PwC, first as an auditor and then as a management consultant.

Karin holds an MSc in Economics and Business Administration from the Stockholm School of Economics.
